Where is the cast of Clueless now?

Obviously you’ve been watching Clueless constantly since 1995, when the world was given the gift of Cher and her futuristic outfit planner. But how have the actors playing Cher, Dionne, Elton and the rest of the teen gang changed since then, and what are they doing now?

Alicia Silverstone as Cher Then… Now… Two years after playing the lead in Clueless, Alicia Silverstone played the role of Batgirl in the big-budget Batman & Robin (1997) and in 2000, she appeared in Kenneth Branagh’s musical film adaptation of the Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost. More recently, in 2012, she and appeared in several episodes in teen drama plus several pilots that never got picked up. Now she does less acting and is an outspoken vegan and animal rights activist and runs a lifetstule website called The Kind Life .

Stacey Dash as Dionne Davenport Then… Now… Stacey Dash went on to play the role of Dionne in the Clueless television series that premiered the year after the film. She has since appeared in CSI, the short-lived series Single Ladies, and the music video for Kanye West’s early hit All Falls Down. Now she’s a cultural commentator for Fox News and sparked controversy during the 2012 presidential election when she endorsed then-Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Paul Rudd Then…

Now… Rudd went on to play Paris in Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet and Pheobe’s boyfriend (and then husband) Mike “Crap Bag” Hannigan in Friends, before starring in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Anchorman, Wet Hot American Summer, Knocked Up, This is 40, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Dinner for Schmucks, Role Models and lots more Hollywood movies. We’ll next see Rudd in the starring role of Ant-Man in Marvel’s next big superhero film.

Dan Hedaya as Melvin “Mel” Horowitz Then… Now… Heyada had already established a career before to playing Cher’s overprotective lawyer dad. He’s since been in Alien: Resurrection, E.R., A Night at the Roxbury, Monk, and most recently Gotham, The Mindy Project and Blue Bloods.

Elisa Donovan as Amber Mariens Then… Now… Elisa also went on to star in the Cluelessseries as Amber and had a big part in teen series Sabrina the Teenage Witchthe following year, and has appeared in lots of smaller US films and TV series since. Most recently she starred in US family film The Dog Who Saved Summer.

Justin Walker as Christian Stovitz Then… Now… After appearing in 3 documentaries on Clueless’ 10 Year Anniversary, Justin Walker retired from acting in 2005. He now reportedly runs a restaurant in California.

Donald Faison as Murray Duvall Then… Now… The actor is best known for starring as Dr. Chris Turk in Scrubs, and has also been in Pitch Perfect, Kick-Ass 2, Uptown Girls, Big Fat Liar. He also voiced an episode of Adventure Time. And this isn’t strictly CV, but he also has five kids.

Breckin Meyer as Travis Birkenstock Then… Now… Clueless’ 90s skater boy had been seen quite a bit on TV prior to 1995, but Clueless was one of his first big film roles. Since then we’ve seen him star in Road Trip, Rat Race, Garfield, have minor roles in House, Heroes and Party Down, and he also had a regular role in animation series King of the Hill. He also wrote and created US show Men at Work.

Jeremy Sisto as Elton Tiscia Then… Now… Sisto has since appeared in Law & Order, Suburgatory and Six Feet Under, and played the voice of Batman in Justice League: New Frontier. He also had guest roles in Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys, The Twilight Zone, American Dad, Dawson’s Creek and Numbers. Most recently he starred in TV drama series The Returned.

Britanny Murphy as Tai

Brittany Murphy went on have parts in movies including Riding in Cars with Boys and 8 Mile. She also spent two years voicing a character in King of the Hill. Tragically, Murphy died in 2009 from a combination of pneumonia and prescription drugs.

Wallace Shawn as Mr. Wendell Hall Then… Now… Wallace was already an established actor before Clueless and has since has regular roles in The Good Life, Gossip Girl, Family Guy, The L-Word, Crossing Jordan and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. His best known work since Clueless is playing Rex in Toy Story.

Twink Caplan as Ms. Geist Then… Now… Caplan stuck with the franchise, playing Ms. Geist in the Clueless TV series before starring in Look Who’s Talking and Look Who’s Talking Too as Rona, Apart from a few small roles, however, she has mostly stayed out of the spotlight since Clueless was released in 1995.
