When is the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 6 DLC release date?

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 6 DLC release date is 9th November 2023. You'll be able to drive, swim and glide across its new tracks soon!

The Wave 1 release took place on 18th March 2022, with a gap of roughly five months between that and the second batch of courses.

Wave 3 released in December 2022 and Wave 4 in March 2023. Wave 5, meanwhile, launched in July 2023.

Fast-forward to today and we've had to wait four months between the launch of Wave 5 and 6.

There are six 'Waves' to this DLC in total, with each one delivering another eight tracks to the fans – this means that once Wave 6 releases on 9th November, it will be the end of the Booster Course Pass DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It's been fun while it lasted.

What is the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 6 release time in the UK?

Based on previous form, we would predict that the Wave 6 tracks (and new characters) will become available in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at 12 midday GMT on 9th November, for players in the UK!

How to get new tracks in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

To access the new tracks that are out now, you will need to buy the Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass (it's £22.49 from Nintendo) or subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass (which is £34.99 for a year).

Plus, you will need a copy of the base game itself, either in digital or physical form. If you haven't bought it already, there are some options below that might interest you, or you could just head to the eShop on your Switch itself.

Nintendo has also announced that you will be able to buy the Booster Course Pass DLC as a physical box from 6th October 2023. This box set includes a download code for the Booster Course and some physical bonuses, including what looks like cards, stickers and pins. The physical version of the DLC does not come with the base game.

Once you've paid for all the things you need to pay for, this is how you get the new tracks: open the game and let it connect to the internet when it asks to check if you're allowed to access the new content.

After the game has done this check, you will find the new tracks on the course select menu in whichever mode you want to play. To access the new courses on the course select menu, you will need to press the R or L shoulder buttons to open the second page of tracks.
