You can literally buy a two bed house in Lancashire for £42,700. But who wants a boring old building when for the same price you can don Bill Murray’s original Ghostbusters jumpsuit and shout things like: “Back off man, I’m a scientist!”

Dr. Peter Venkman’s ghostbusting uniform was one of many items that sold for big bucks at Prop Store’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction in London on Tuesday.

More big sales of the day – which saw more than £3.8 million exchange hands over ten hours of intense bidding – include Marty McFly’s light-up trainers, worn by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future II, which went for £30,500, and Indiana Jones’ bullwhip used by Harrison Ford in The Last Crusade, which sold for £79,300.
