Jon Favreau put his spin on the classic tale of a little boy lost in the jungle and raised by wolves for Disney’s live action film, and now Andy Serkis is serving up yet another adaptation.

Serkis (who’ll play Baloo) has Christian Bale on board as Bagheera, Cate Blanchett as Kaa and Benedict Cumberbatch as everyone’s favourite evil tiger, Shere Khan. Relative newcomer Rohan Chand is Mowgli.

The Jungle Book opens in UK cinemas on 19th October

What would Hamlet’s tale have been like had it been told from Ophelia’s perspective? That’s what Lisa Klein endeavoured to explore with her novel, Ophelia.

Now Daisy Ridley will take on the lead role as the book is adapted for cinema, with Naomi Watts, Clive Owen and Tom Felton co-starring.

A UK release date for Ophelia has yet to be confirmed
