Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt team up for new musical comedy film

Finally, the GI Joe: Rise of Cobra reunion we've all been waiting for

Following his all-singing, all-dancing turn in the Coen Brothers’ Hail Caesar! Channing Tatum has clearly picked up a taste for musical theatre – because now he’s teamed up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt to bring a brand new musical comedy to cinemas.

Starring Gordon-Levitt and Tatum and produced by Universal Studios, the film will follow two pilots on various musical misadventures, and according to the Hollywood Reporter will have an American “R” rating to signify its more adult content.

The film is as yet untitled, but it’s the final realisation of a long-vaunted musical partnership between the two – originally, they were tapped for a new screen adaptation of classic show Guys and Dolls but the project eventually fell through.
