Review
Silliness, thy name is Warrior Queen. Sybil Danning stars as the titular Queen Berenice, an attractive but deadly woman who arrives in Pompeii for a festival and to negotiate with the city's ruler, Clodius (Donald Pleasence). Pleasence leaves no bit of scenery unchewed as the self-indulgent mayor, so it's no wonder his wife wants to hook up with an attractive young gladiator. Calamity results, ending with the death of several major characters as Pompeii is destroyed by the nearby volcano. The film lifts footage from the superior The Last Days of Pompeii (1960) with Steve Reeves.
