Despite its title, this philosophical oddity doesn't exactly soar into comprehension. Richard Bach's bestseller is an "inspirational" parable about a seagull whose life parallels human existence - speed, contemplation and finally redemption and resurrection. An intriguing existentialist idea, nearly flooded out by Neil Diamond's splashy score.
