Review

A star rating of 1 out of 5.

Inaugurating a theme that would become prevalent in the early 1970s (The Incredible Two-Headed Transplant and The Thing with Two Heads), this loopy obscurity is a genuine guilty pleasure. While on assignment in Japan, snoopy reporter Peter Dyneley is given a strange injection by a mad doctor causing him to grow a second, albeit obviously fake rubber, head. To make matters worse, the head is homicidal and forces him to kill people until it finally grows its own body and splits into an ape man. A funny and sometimes scary redefinition of the classic Jekyll and Hyde fable that carries its insane premise beyond fantasy by having two heads at the helm - co-directors George Breakston and Kenneth Crane.
