Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

Farrah Fawcett (in her first starring feature role) turns amateur detective with Jeff Bridges to find out who killed her husband in this lame comedy mystery. Director Lamont Johnson is clearly aiming for a sophisticated caper in the Hitchcock vein, and the engaging climax set during the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade almost gets there, but he mostly ends up with glossy stodge thanks to the bland script written by TV veteran Reginald Rose. The ex-Charlie's Angel isn't bad but she's a little too lightweight to carry the melodramatic load in such inconsequential fluff. Of course, that would all change later with The Burning Bed.
