Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

This is an old-fashioned "woman's picture" of the kind that would once have starred Joan Crawford or Sally Field. However, director Kevin Dowling has to rely on Farrah Fawcett to play the rebel whose refusal to face up to her responsibilities causes her to miss her mother's funeral. Fawcett copes well enough with the flirty recklessness, but her acting shortcomings are otherwise exposed, and over-emotive melodramatics set in once she discovers her purpose in life and begins packing underwear in a North Carolina factory to raise enough cash to save the family farm embittered sister Ashley Crow is bent on selling.
