Drama starring Jack Hawkins and Elizabeth Allan. A dedicated journalist puts off taking a holiday with his wife for the sake of work, and becomes dramatically involved in one of the stories he's working on.
Back in the days when Rupert was only a bear in Fleet Street and British newspapers engaged in rivalries that were almost gentlemanly compared with today, editor Jack Hawkins has to choose between his job and his marriage to Elizabeth Allan, who sits at home and wonders where it all went wrong. Cosily dated, but an interesting sign of its times.
