Review
In director Frank LaLoggia's ambitious feature debut, Lucifer is reincarnated as an American high-school student who does battle with two archangels in disguise. The acting is on the amateurish side, and the story (based on the Book of Revelation) loses its way in some aimless subplots. Yet this is still a strangely affecting vision of low-budget armageddon whose punk rock soundtrack (the Ramones, Talking Heads, the Sex Pistols) is skilfully augmented by an elaborate symphonic score co-written by David Spear and LaLoggia. The latter went on to direct LADY IN WHITE (1988), an equally bizarre horror oddity.
