Slapstick sports comedy starring Damon Wayans, Daniel Stern and Dan Aykroyd. Mike and Jimmy are die-hard basketball fans, so when their team, the Boston Celtics, comes up against Utah Jazz, the boys decide to kidnap Utah's star player, Lewis Scott.
No, this isn't a spin-off from Braveheart, but a sports comedy starring Daniel Stern and Dan Aykroyd as a pair of die-hard fans of the Boston Celtics basketball team who take their support a little too far for comfort. Starting out with some fairly astute knocks at the superstitions that fans have about their teams, director Tom DeCerchio becomes much too heavy-handed once Stern and Aykroyd have kidnapped the arrogant star of their arch-rivals (played by Daman Wayans). Thankfully, the three leads make it a watchable, if not rib-tickling experience.
