Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

This sophisticated and witty cartoon reunited Judy Garland with the composers from The Wizard of Oz, Harold Arlen and EY "Yip" Harburg. Mewsette the cat (voiced by Garland) leaves her country home seeking excitement in the big city (Paris) and soon runs into trouble. The songs include Little Drops of Rain, and Paris Is a Lonely Town. Adults will enjoy spotting the Impressionist landscapes used in some scenes. The kids may prefer that later feline adventure, Disney's The Aristocats, which was probably influenced by this film's character and style.
