Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

In this commendable sci-fi drama, astronaut Roy Thinnes discovers a hidden planet on the other side of the Sun that mirrors Earth in exact detail. Writer/producers Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, who created the cult puppet shows Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet, as well as the live action series UFO and Space 1999, dress up the clever concept with some neat special effects. Add solid direction from Robert Parrish and a memorable twist ending, and the result is a minor science-fiction gem.
