Review

A star rating of 1 out of 5.

It's hard to figure out why Arthur Penn (Bonnie and Clyde, Little Big Man) would suddenly direct a goofball comedy starring two magician comedians who are an acquired taste. There is a plot buried somewhere here - a psychopath sets his sights on assassinating one of the duo during their nationwide tour - but the movie constantly makes excuses to show the pair involved with unrelated material better suited for one of their talk-show appearances. The two stars also wrote the script, indicating they had some idea they were best suited for five-minute presentations.
