Genial comedy drama starring Christopher Lambert. A man with learning difficulties who is also well below pensionable age is lodged in an old people's home, and begins to transform the lives of its frustrated residents with his refreshingly innocent views on life.
Taking a break from his all-action Highlander image, Christopher Lambert co-produced and stars in this genial comedy drama. He's surprisingly effective, too, playing a child-man who is placed in a retirement home in rural South Carolina and slowly begins to transform the lives of its dissatisfied residents. The veteran stars in the supporting cast perform their stereotyped roles with aplomb, although Carroll O'Connor's bolshy cook, Mike Connors's ring-rusty boxer and Shirley Jones's frustrated artist are less showy than Charlton Heston's crusty philosophy professor.
