Shadow of the Past

Showcase role for country superstar Dwight Yoakam, as Virgil Kidder who's a former top rodeo clown reluctant to re-enter the ring. Yoakam is laid back, but effective in this moving tale that follows Kidder as he attempts to tackle the hang-ups from his past before he can settle comfortably back in the saddle. An offbeat and likeable character study, with Yoakam lent sturdy support by the likes of Bo Hopkins, Cindy Pickett and John Getz. Watch out for a cameo appearance from Peter Fonda.
