Producer/director W Lee Wilder, sibling of Billy (Some Like It Hot) Wilder, has the honour of being responsible for the most abominable Abominable Snowman movie ever made. Botanist/explorer Paul Langton captures the yeti after it threatens his wife, and ships it home to Los Angeles. Once there, it escapes its cage, goes on a ho-hum rampage and gets chased into the sewers, where it's killed. The yeti - an indescribable creation of badly stitched together fur pelts - is played by Dick Sands, who in 1953 appeared as the creature in the Wilders' Phantom from Space. The monster is mostly shown here in shadow because it's so risible. An altogether inadequate achievement.
