Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

A daft attempt to further conceptualise the classic Beatles album by linking its songs via a contrived connective storyline. The attempt fails miserably. Some sequences are OK, but others are downright embarrassing. Apart from its awfulness, some interest resides in its pick 'n' mix cast of musicians and actors. Musicians include the Bee Gees, soul band Earth Wind & Fire, and 1970s pin-up Peter Frampton, a multi-million seller way back when with Show Me The Way . Actors in the cast include Steve Martin, George Burns, Donald Pleasence and Frankie Howerd.
