Free of Eden

Acadamy Award-winner Sidney Poitier produced and stars in this contrived telefilm along with his daughter Sydney, in one of her first acting roles, and Cosby's Phylicia Rashad. Poitier is a former schoolteacher, is now a successful New York financier. He is recognised as her former teacher by an 18-year-old high school dropout, who seeks him out and a unlikely teacher/student relationship begins. A very inferior To Sir with Love: preachy and sanctimonious, the stereotypical characters along with the goody-goody plot make this a snoozer.
