A hard-nosed, maverick cop plays by his own rules as he seeks to avenge the death of his beloved partner at the hands of drug-smuggling Cuban hitmen. Veteran actor Dennis Hopper gives a characteristically intense performance as a man treading the edge between insanity and legality. However, this tale of relentless cop versus drug smugglers squanders good support from Anne Archer and sharp production values with a trite and painfully obvious story you've already seen a hundred times before.
