Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

A very long, slow and seemingly endless journey is taken in this dreary TV movie about a single mother (Cybill Shepherd) who dedicates her life to helping her blind, autistic "musical savant" son foster his talent on the piano. When he is accepted into a Boston music school, she goes with him but his emotional and professional development leads to tension. Chris Demetral plays the young musician with sensitive restraint and the relationship between him and his caring music professor (Stephen Lang) rings true. Unfortunately, dull dialogue and sappy scripting make this trite excursion a forgettable experience.
