Western starring John Wayne. When a college graduate and an old prospector strike gold, two crooks plot to win ownership of the mine.
One of those irritating programme fillers that mixes contemporary icons - in this case a model "T" Ford - in a chase sequence with traditional western elements. In this John Wayne vehicle, George "Gabby" Hayes plays the comic sidekick, a role the grizzled veteran was to parlay into a career for some 25 years, resulting in worldwide recognition and a 1950s TV show. Hayes supplies the feeble comedy, the clean-cut Duke the heroism, and Lloyd Whitlock and stuntman Yakima Canutt the villainy. But really, unless these minor movies are your cup of tea, it's not very good.
