Review
Nine years after the disastrous The Day the Clown Cried (it was never given general release), Jerry Lewis produced this "comeback" comedy which should be marked "Return to Sender". Directed by Lewis to recoup his fortunes after his spell out of the limelight, it's about an unemployed circus clown who bumbles around looking for work and sympathy. Some good moments, but generally this is too self-pitying for comfort.
