This second feature in the Stray Cat Rock series shares some of the cast and themes of original film, Delinquent Girl Boss, but isn't really a follow-up. This time, nominal star Meiko Kaji plays the only female member of the Pelican Gang, a group of young tearaways who spend most of their time cruising about in an open-top jeep and making mischief for kicks. Their aimless way of life is reflected in the directionless plot of the movie, which only decides that it wants to be a heist flick in its final third. Toshiya Fujita's film lacks the grit and style of Yasuharu Hasebe's predecessor, but the downbeat finale is still worth sticking around for.
