Review

A star rating of 1 out of 5.

This is risible soft-core erotica from Roger Vadim, the man who "discovered", then married Brigitte Bardot and Jane Fonda (though not at the same time). Vadim's protégée at the time, Cindy Pickett, isn't bad in her feature debut, playing a Beverly Hills housewife terrified of sexual contact due to a traumatic childhood incident. When she's reduced to having sex with a man dressed as a bird, though, it's fatally unclear whether Vadim is being mocking or serious. John Barry's distinctive score is a huge plus, but rather begs the question why he involved himself in such tat. Then again, even geniuses need the money sometimes.
