Horror thriller starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Kristy Swanson. A divorced couple searching for a new form of energy in a Louisiana river are accompanied by a pair of forceful criminals looking for their ill-gotten gains. However, there are other, more sinister dangers lurking in the water.
This crudely entertaining low-budget horror thriller starts out as a melodrama, morphs into a thriller and winds up as a creature feature. Lou Diamond Phillips plays the broke fisherman who is lured back into drilling for oil by ex-wife Kristy Swanson. Meanwhile, Coolio and his gang are looking for the loot hidden in a bayou, and a bull shark is terrorising the local population and now has a price on its head. The effects are dreadful, but half the fun of this kind of picture lies in the daftness of its schlock, so it's never dull.
