Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

Deadfall is half-homage, half send-up of film noir, with Michael Biehn and James Coburn as father and son con men. When son accidentally kills father early on, it instigates an incredibly complicated plot. Generally regarded as a misfire, it's worth a look for its peculiar pedigree and its cameo appearances. Director Christopher Coppola is Francis's nephew and he casts his own brothers, Nicolas Cage and Marc Coppola, and his aunt Talia Shire, plus Peter Fonda and Charlie Sheen.
