Crime thriller starring Alain Delon. Marseilles, 1934. A Mafia boss swears revenge on the man who murdered his colleague, but finds the killer works for the head of a rival gangster empire.
Gangster Alain Delon fights heroin addiction and his mob enemies for control of the criminal underworld in 1930s Marseille in a hackneyed rehash of the far superior Borsalino. While clearly taking pointers from French Connection II, it fails to do anything interesting with them. Despite the sleazy dockside glamour setting, director Jacques Deray's lazy sequel is for Delon completists only.
