Summary
An adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway play, starring Jane Fonda, Anne Bancroft and Meg Tilly. The quiet life of a convent is shattered by the discovery of a new born baby's strangled body. Psychiatrist Martha Livingston is called in to examine the prime suspect, a seemingly innocent novice called Agnes who has no memory of the birth, and immediately finds herself in direct opposition to the convent's Mother Superior, who not only insists upon Agnes's innocence but suggests the possibility of a miracle.
