Rough Riders' Roundup

Review
One of eight starring vehicles for Roy Rogers released by Republic in 1939, his second year as a western lead, this features the singing cowboy as a former rough rider in the Spanish-American war who joins the border patrol in the south-west. Between musical interludes, he and sidekicks Raymond Hatton and Eddie Acuff put an end to a spate of gold bullion robberies. Dorothy Sebastian stands out in a small part as a mine foreman's disgruntled girlfriend while Glenn Strange and Duncan Renaldo are among the familiar western faces way down the cast.
