Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

Madhuri Dixit was studying microbiology when she made her screen debut; 1984's Abodh was a flop, but she's since gone on to become the Queen of Bollywood in the 1990s. Yet in this romantic-triangle tale from director Subhash Ghai, it wasn't her ability or her beauty that attracted attention but the controversial song What's under Your Blouse?, which drew the ire of the censors in certain parts of the subcontinent. The remainder of the film typically packed with subplots is slightly more conventional, with Dixit's cop falling in love with both her partner and the handsome rascal they're tailing.
