Mild even by 1940s horror standards and utterly conventional in every respect, director Henry Levin's debut feature stars Nina Foch as Celeste LaTour, queen of the Troiga gypsies. She murders a New Orleans museum curator to cover up the fact that she has inherited the curse of lycanthropy from her dead mother. Feeling far longer than its 63-minute running time, this banal potboiler lacks rudimentary suspense and even Foch's transformation takes place off-screen.
