Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

Your enjoyment of this gimmicky comedy will depend on your feelings about the lowbrow comedy of Adam Sandler. He plays an infantile loser who won't be given control of his father's billion dollar business empire unless he agrees to repeat his school education in just 24 weeks. There are similarities with Rodney Dangerfield's Back to School, except that Sandler is among far younger pupils. Exploiting the star's talent for slapstick stupidity, this has some entertaining moments as he clashes with junior classmates and falls for his pretty teacher (Bridgette Wilson). While not in the same league as The Wedding Singer, it's still enjoyably dumb fun, especially for Sandler fans.
