Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

This black comedy contains a highly ingenious plotline, with some subtle twists and turns that are negotiated skilfully by the likes of Kirstie Alley and Carrie Fisher. They are supported by several familiar American TV faces (including Scott Bakula and Ed O'Neill), who throw themselves wholesale into the frantic, vulgar action with varying degrees of success, and it's all somehow pulled together by the stylish direction of Carl Reiner. But the end result is still rather disappointing.
