A small-town teen movie starring the up-and-coming Brendan Sexton III, Christina Ricci and Ben Affleck's brother Casey. Two travellers, father John Heard and daughter Kate Hudson, get trapped in rural backwater Baxter after a chemical truck spillage. Their encounters with the town's restless youth expose personal prejudices and result in an unlikely romance between snobbish starlet Hudson and bad boy Blue (Sexton). Ricci is great as a girl with a destructive dynamite fetish, though director Morgan J Freeman should not be confused with the celebrated star of The Shawshank Redemption and Deep Impact.
