Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

The oddball cast is the sole attraction here. Stella Stevens plays a gold-digger who marries an aristocrat for his money. The thing is, the poor man is lying in his coffin throughout the ceremony! This makes the reading of the will a rather tricky business, and wastrel brother Roddy MacDowall and sister Elsa Lanchester are miffed to say the least. Others involved in this black comedy are Farley Granger (one of Hitchcock's strangers on a train), Victor Buono and British cabaret singer Shani Wallis as the dead aristocrat's widow. Left out of the will, she gets to sing the title number instead.
