Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

The breakthrough role - well, for the video market at least - for martial arts star Cynthia Rothrock, who provides a welcome antidote to the macho heroics of Chuck Norris et al. Admittedly, Rothrock is no great shakes as an actress either, but is nevertheless a formidable presence in the fight scenes, which are good enough to distract attention from a routine plot. Here she plays a police officer who turns in her badge when she reluctantly uses her martial arts skills to kill a villain in self-defence. However, when she returns to her home town, her lethal abilities are once again called into use.
