Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

A drama set during the Nazi invasion of France, with Jean-Louis Trintignant mislaying his wife in the rush to get the last train from Paris and then helping Romy Schneider by posing as her husband. They fall in love, and then Trintignant's real wife shows up with the child they have had together. This is a solidly made story, based on a Georges Simenon novel, that trades heavily on the then commercial appeal of its two glamorous stars, especially Trintignant, star of Melancholy Baby (1979) and I Love You All (1980).
