A prosecutor trying a case where a husband shot his adulterous wife begins to suspect that his own wife is having an affair, and starts to have his own thoughts about killing her.
Warren William stars as a tough-minded, morally upright and obsessively dedicated district attorney. In prosecuting a man who has murdered his faithless wife in a fit of jealousy, William comes to realise that the case is a mirror of his own life in which his neglected wife (Gail Patrick) is seeking solace with William Lundigan. A modest and mildly interesting drama, directed by James Whale who made a more stylish and exciting job of The Kiss before the Mirror in 1933, of which this is a remake.
