Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

A good premise, a great cast and an excellent director (Barbet Schroeder) amount to very little in this dumb thriller that rapidly goes downhill. Andy Garcia stars as a policeman who needs the rare bone marrow of the very unhinged Michael Keaton in order to save his son. Initially an intriguing variant on The Silence of the Lambs, the movie develops into an implausible action thriller as the overacting Keaton runs amok in a hospital leaving Garcia with a dilemma. It's so idiotic at times that you wonder if anybody actually read the script before signing on.
