Review
Writer/director Jean-Luc Godard appears as the idiot and the prince in this impenetrable in-joke, complete with whispered mock-philosophical narration. There are several main stories, inseparable but unconnected, including one about an airline pilot apparently about to kill himself in midair and a music group at a recording studio. The film has been described as a "metaphysical cartoon", but what it all means is anyone's guess, though casual viewers might just be impressed by the odd shot or two. A cinematic doodle plus a brief guest spot from Jane Birkin.
