Summary
Action thriller starring Sylvester Stallone and John Lithgow. Former mountain-rescue climber Gabe Walker is persuaded to come out of retirement to help answer a distress call from a plane that has crash-landed. When he and fellow rescuer Hal Tucker reach the crash site, they discover the passengers are members of a criminal gang who want Walker and Tucker to help retrieve their stolen money.

High adventure and vertigo blend with blood and bullets to make this tension-packed tall tale a spectacular avalanche of dizzying escapism. Sylvester Stallone plays the rock-climbing "Rocky" clone who loses his nerve during the opening peak rescue and must find it again when a gang of desperate criminals crash-lands on his mountain manor during a blizzard. Nail-biting stunts and photography that's close to the edge are the true stars of this Rockies-set Die Hard, directed with breathless energy by Renny Harlin.
