Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

This pleasing but predictable heist caper boasts a classy cast. Giving one of the better performances of his twilight years, David Niven plays a criminal mastermind who blackmails old lag Richard Jordan into joining his audacious assault on a swanky bank. Making his first film in five years (and it was to be his last), veteran director Ralph Thomas fails to impose himself on the familiar sequence of events, but coaxes a splendid performance from American actress Gloria Grahame.
