Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

The final chapter of the Maze Runner trilogy unfolds in dramatic fashion as Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and his group of renegades look to take down evil organisation WCKD and put an end to their experiments on children in the pursuit of a cure for a killer virus. The film is action-packed from the very start, and director Wes Ball delivers plenty of spectacular set pieces. However, the bloated running time is sure to test the patience of all but serious fans of the franchise, who will no doubt overlook the film's other flaws and be swept up in the sentiment of it all. Those without a vested interest may struggle to do the same.
