The Mysterious Dr Satan

Wearing the metallic mask that helped his father evade crooked lawmen in the Old West, Robert Wilcox - as Copperhead - is the indestructible hero of this fondly remembered serial. But while his frequent brushes with death keep the entertainment levels high, it's the army of robots (which resemble silver post boxes on legs) controlled by the demonic Eduardo Ciannelli that brought in the punters. Ciannelli also raises the ante as the debonair criminal mastermind whose plans for global domination depend on acquiring Professor C Montague Shaw's remote control device. Indeed, for once, there's a temptation to cheer on the bad guys.
