The underrated Janeane Garofalo gets to flex her acting muscles in this quirky romantic comedy from Ireland. She stars as Marcy, dispatched to the Emerald Isle to round up a US senator's ancestors. Inadvertently she finds herself at a matchmaking festival, where sparks are soon flying between her and gauche barman David O'Hara. Matchmaker Milo O'Shea bets he can get them together and sends them on a wild goose chase to the Aran islands. It's unfortunate that the movie begins and ends in America, but what's in between has all the charm that Ireland can offer.
