Summary

Drama starring Paul McGann and Rebecca De Mornay. A London city dealer takes their own life after losing $100 million. Dynamic Daniel Pascoe is initally assigned the task of recovering the loss, but his superiors decide that newcomer Anna Schuman would be better suited for the job. Daniel soon discovers there is more to Anna than meets the eye.

Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

This somewhat impoverished imitation of Wall Street would have been a much better movie had it stuck to the clinical, cynical depiction of life in the City rather than veering off into the realms of predictable thrillerdom. Rebecca De Mornay and Paul McGann might be the headliners, but there's nothing new about the way their love/hate relationship shifts once they start pulling in the big bucks. Derrick O'Connor, on the other hand, gives a compelling performance as the former whizzkid hooked on the devil's dandruff. Dated perhaps, but still a sobering reminder of the unattractive side of the yuppie mentality.
