Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

While never approaching the Oscar-winning standard of The Song of Bernadette, this is, nevertheless, a sincere account of the 1917 apparition of the Virgin Mary to the Cova of Iria outside the Portuguese village of Fatima. As the trio who claim to have heard prophecies from a "lady in the sky" on the 13th of six consecutive months, Susan Whitney, Sherry Jackson and Sammy Ogg are sweetly credible. But even though director John Brahm makes such moments as the miraculous cure of the lame and blind truly inspirational, the reverential approach will be harder to take for many than the episode's religious implications.
